Daniel C. Scott, 83, of Ewing Township, died Wednesday at home. Born in Trenton, he was a life long area resident having lived in Ewing Township for the last fifty-three years. Dan was the former president and owner of the D. Scott Construction Company in Ewing Township. He was a Navy veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Temple, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Horseless Carriage Club, and was a flight instructor for the Civil Air Patrol. Son of the late Daniel and Helen Scott, he is survived by his loving wife Betsy Ziegler Scott, his son Dr. Jeffrey L. Scott and his wife Lynette, and his daughter Susan Scott O’ Malley and her husband Dr. Francis M. O’Malley. Also surviving are his grandson Justin L. Scott and three nieces Betsy Baldwin, Kathy Young, and Maren Cosgrove. The funeral will be held on Monday at 12 Noon at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road with Rev. Dr. Richard Gay, pastor of the Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery in Ewing Township. Family and friends may call on Monday from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dan’s memory may be made to the Central Christian Church, 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08638 or to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 600 Highland Drive, Suite 624, Westampton, NJ 08060
