Lillian Devlin, 92, of Lawrenceville died Tuesday at Care One in Hamilton. Born in Princeton she was a lifelong Lawrenceville resident. She was a Princeton High graduate class of 1934. Lillian was a key punch operator for Dr. George Gallop in Princeton, and a key punch supervisor for the State of New Jersey Division of Unemployment. She and her late husband Roy also started Devlin Striping Service in 1965, which she retired from after his passing in 1977. Lillian worked on the first Presidential election in which the key punch was utilized. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Eagles. Daughter of the late Chester and Ada Fritsch Slack, and wife of the late Roy Devlin, she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Donna Devlin of Racine Wisconsin, and Peter and Patricia Devlin of Lawrenceville, her four granddaughters; Jennifer Haase and her husband Andy, Dana Oninski and her husband Chuck, Denise Rettzo and her husband Richard, and Brianne Devlin, and her four great grandsons; Kyle Devlin, Nicholas Alby, and Dalton and Devin Smrucker. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Slack; her nephews; Fred Struve, Patrick Slack and John Devlin Jr., her nieces; Virginia Enourato, Barbara Murowski, Terri Ciemniecki, Virginia Mihalik, Kathleen Bucci , and Adele Gessner, her grandnieces and grandnephews, Jody and Doug Struve, and Katrina Orfe, her special grandniece Christy Morrison-Ryan, and great grand nephews Joseph and John Ryan. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary (Mae) Struve, and her brother, Chester Slack. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise, Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Rev Nina Reeder, pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lillian’s name may be made to the Sunshine Foundation, 1041 Mill Creek Drive, Feasterville, PA 19053 or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053-3101.
