Ruth I. Wilcox, 79, formerly of Lawrenceville, died Friday at home in Princeton Township. Born in Trenton, she had resided most of her life in Lawrenceville, before moving to Princeton four years ago. Ms. Wilcox retired from Heinemann Electric in Lawrenceville after forty years of service. She was a former member of Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club #5. Ruth enjoyed bingo, bocce ball, and shopping. Daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtle Stryker Lewallen, she is survived by her son Ralph P. Wilcox, Jr. and his wife Janet, her two daughters; Ruth Ann Simonelli and her husband Peter, and Kathleen Wilcox, four grandchildren; Lisa Richey and her husband Wilson, Jason Wilcox, Kristi Portington and her husband Kevin, and Shelee Oraschin-Frace and her husband Gregory Frace, her great grandson Kyle Portington, and her brother Leroy Lewallen. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8 PM with the Rev. Edward Ladd of the Jacobstown Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in RuthÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
