Zenon John Piet, 85, of Lawrenceville, died Tuesday at home. Born in Trenton, he was a life long area resident having resided in Lawrenceville for fifty-three years. He graduated from Drexel University in 1953 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He served as a navigator on a B-17 Flying Fortress with the 8th Air Force in England during WW II. His plane was shot down, and he was interred as a P.O.W. in Germany until the end of the war. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Brodowski Piet, a daughter, Meredith Ann Piet, two sons, Eric N. Piet and Christopher M. Piet and his wife Kathy. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michael and Nicole Piet. Funeral services were private with the clergy of The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville officiating.
