Obituary of Ruth E. Hobson

Ruth E. Hobson, 92, of Mercerville, died on Tuesday at her home. Born in Danville, PA she had been a Mercerville resident most of her life Ruth retired from the GC Murphy Department store in Mercerville, where she had been employed as a bookkeeper in the accounting department. Daughter of the late William and Mary Hurley Myers, and wife of the late Walter R. Hobson, she is survived by her two sons: Walter R. Hobson II and his wife Karen Combs Hobson, and William R. Hobson and his wife Linda E. all of Mercerville, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the Community Hospice of Greenwood House, 50 Walter Street, Ewing, NJ 08628.
