Obituary of Isabelle M. Peck

Isabelle M. Peck, 87, of Robbinsville, NJ, died Thursday, April 30, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Peck was born in Napoleon, Ohio, the daughter of Oliver L. and Nina E. Mears. She was a graduate of Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, and earned a Masters of Arts in Music from Northwestern University in Chicago. Mrs. Peck taught school before marrying her late husband Carson C. Peck, Jr., in 1947. She served her church for many years as music director and was a dedicated volunteer in support of her children and her community. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Peck is predeceased by her infant brother John. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Chris and Diane Peck of Palo Alto, CA; her daughter and son-in-law the Rev. Dr. Nina and Jim Reeder of Robbinsville; her son and daughter-in-law Arthur and Kirsten Peck of Orinda, CA; her daughter and son-in-law Nila and Mark Eisenach of Princeton; ten grandchildren, Jessica Reeder Hurst and husband Matthew, 2Lt. James Reeder, USAF, Annin, Grace, Katie, and William Peck, Carson, Louise, Helen, and Sarah Eisenach; two step-grandchildren, Desiree Pollock and Joseph Holdnack, III; one great-grandchild, Eleanore Hurst, and four step-great-grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Pollock, and Abigail and Joseph Holdnack. The family wishes to thank all those who provided support and care to their mother during the last years of her life, most especially Martina Chudasova whose companionship and care gave Mrs. Peck a great deal of joy. Funeral services for Mrs. Peck will be held at 10am Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, with the Rev. Dr. David Davis of the Nassau Presbyterian Church officiating. Private entombment will be in the Ewing Presbyterian Church Mausoleum, Ewing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be sent to the Pastor's Fund, c/o The Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648.
