Obituary of Theresa M. Markowski

Theresa M. Markowski, of Lawrenceville, passed away at her home on Friday, March 26, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, Theresa was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, Class of 1943 and was a resident of Lawrenceville for over 50 years. She worked at the family business, Alma Offset Printing Company for many years and retired from Microwave Semiconductors. Theresa was a generous person, opening her home and pool to family, friends and neighbors. Many precious memories were made at the countless summer picnics around her pool. She enjoyed working outside in her yard, reading novels and was master crocheter. Her favorite pastimes included going to Bingo with her sisters and playing Blackjack in Atlantic City. Her patience, time and love made her the best Grandmother to Jaclyn, Jamie and Brandon who adored her and will miss her greatly. Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Adele (Domanoski) Swartz, brother Raymond Swartz, sister and best friend Joan Savadge and her beloved son James, Theresa is survived by her children and their spouses, daughter Maryan and Larry Hargraves of Lawrenceville, son Michael and Karen of Lawrenceville, son Richard and Eileen of Yardville, and son Daniel and Patricia of Newtown and her much loved grandchildren Jaclyn, Jamie and Brandon Hargraves. Theresa is also survived by her very special sister, Cecilia Zukowski, cousin Lorraine Murphy, sister-in-law Shirley Keefe and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at St. Hedwig’s Church in Trenton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in Ewing Township. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
