Mary Joan Huse, 70, of Morrisville, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Trenton, Joan was raised in Lawrence Township and after marrying had resided in Morrisville PA for the past 47 years. She was a Trenton High School graduate and attended Rider University for two years having studied business administration before leaving to marry and raise her family. Joan was formerly employed by Arnold Constables and Stacy’s Sport Shop, both fine ladies clothing retailers in Trenton. Growing up, Joan enjoyed listening to 50’s rock n roll music from the Bandstand era as well as watching American Bandstand on television with Dick Clark. She was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. In her younger years, Joan enjoyed knitting and crocheting children’s clothes and afghans. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Walter to the New England states and Virginia. Joan was a wonderful homemaker, wife, and the best mother you could ever ask for. She was very loving and caring to all. Daughter of the late Gustave R. and Mary C. Raisner Stark and sister of the late Robert W. Stark, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter Huse of Morrisville, PA, her two daughters; Karen Ann Johnson and her husband Reed of Doylestown, PA, and Bonnie Lynn Huse of Morrisville, PA. She is also survived by her cousins; Carol Driver and her husband William of Ewing, and Richard Loabe and his wife Faith of Cornville, Maine, a special life long friend, Lois Gronert and her family of Lawrenceville, and her pet cats; Ginger and Amber. Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Rev. Nina Reeder, Pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Ewing Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
