Obituary of Jane Dalton Boillotat

Jane Dalton Boillotat, age 88, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville, New Jersey after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Lillian K. Dalton. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Boillotat was a resident of Lawrenceville, NJ since 1936 and, while she was stationed in many locations as an Air Force wife, was always pleased to call Lawrenceville home. Mrs. Boillotat is preceded in death by former husbands Capt. Thomas C. (Mike) Thomann of Trenton, NJ and Lt. Col. Eugene L. (Lee) Boillotat of Milford, PA; and two sons, Jeff E. Boillotat and Michael D. Thomann. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters in-law; Mark and Michele Boillotat of Houston, Texas and Gary and Monie Boillotat of Westwego, Louisiana; six grandchildren: Emma, Jenna, Jack, Catherine, Taylor and Adam and many life-long friends, including Gladys Rickert, Dolores Trainor, Elsie Sayre, Grace Smith, Emma Bingham Chester and Dorthea Cook. She was a founding member of the Sand Pipers Social Club in Trenton NJ and was active in Air Force Officer’s Wives Clubs in Boise, ID; Sacramento, CA; Montgomery, AL; Homestead, FL; Zwiebrucken, Germany; Ft. Meade, MD; Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; and Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, TX. She was also a proud former parent of The Pennington School and The Peddie School. The funeral will be held on Friday at 12 noon at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery in Ewing Township. Family and friends may call on Friday from 10 AM until noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Jane’s and her late husband Lt. Col. E. Lee Boillotat’s memory may be made to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at www.fallenheroesfund.org This fund provides services to wounded members of the Armed Forces who are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and their families.
