Mary Margaret McNulty, 78, of Lawrenceville died Sunday. Born in Manhattan,NY she was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 40 years. Mary attended Marymount College and the Columbia University School of Nursing where she earned her B.S., R.N. She continued her education, receiving her master’s degree from Trenton State College. She was employed as a school nurse by the Hamilton Township Board of Education and retired in 1998 after 18 years of service. Active in her community Mary was a member of the Trenton Historical Society, the Rider University Retiree’s, the AAUW Chapter in Lawrence Township, and the Lawrence Township senior citizens group. Mary was a former member of the Church of St. Ann and then a member of St. Paul’s Parish in Princeton. Wife of the late Edward M. McNulty, local attorney and professor at Rider University, she is survived by her three children, Mary Pat McNulty, Edward D. McNulty and Maureen McNulty Karch; her sister, Sister Winifred Doyle, C.S.J.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents, the late Patrick Gerald “Bob” Doyle, Jr. and Ellen Theresa Boyle Doyle of New York. Mary’s funeral will be held on Friday beginning at 10 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd. Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Princeton. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McNulty Family Scholarship at the Hun School of Princeton, Attn: Jim Boyle, 176 Edgerstoune Rd, Princeton, NJ 08540.
