Obituary of Edward Proniewski

Edward Proniewski, 90, of Lawrenceville died Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton he was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 33 years. Edward was employed as a machine operator with the St. Regis Paper Company and later Thiokol in Trenton and retired in 1982 after 49 years of service. Son of the late Walter and Wanda Zukowska Proniewski, brother of the late John Proniewski and Sophie Piljar, he is survived by his wife, Helen Kawalski Proniewski; his two daughters, Ruth Kontura and her husband Jack of Lawrenceville and Christine Budzinski and her husband Edmund of Lawrenceville; a son, Edward Proniewski and his wife Patricia of Hamilton Square; two grandchildren, Jonathan Proniewski and his wife Sheila and Jennifer Proniewski; two sisters, Wanda DiTullio of Levittown, PA and Jean Kocubinski of Lawrenceville; a brother, Steve Proniewski of Mansfield Twp and two sister-in-laws, Anna Proniewski of Ewing and Ruth Silvestri of Levittown, PA. Edward’s funeral will be held on Wednesday beginning at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Trenton. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery in Ewing.
