Obituary of Joseph Simonelli

Joseph Simonelli, 67, of Lawrenceville, died at home on Tuesday. Born in Trenton he was a lifelong Lawrenceville resident. As a child, Joe attended the Columbus Boychoir School in Princeton. He appeared on television to sing on a Hallmark Hall of Fame episode and sang with Perry Como on a televised Christmas Special. He graduated from Trenton High School Joseph retired as a supervisor from the Lawrence Township Road Department. He was a member and past president of the Lawrence Road Fire Co. District 2 Son of the late August J. and Anna Calderone Simonelli, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Augustus ""Gus"" and Arlene Simonelli, his nephews Laurence E. Raichelson, Rodd H. Simonelli and A. Joseph ""Joey"" Simonelli and his wife Susan, his niece, Carlene Apker, his aunt, Margaret Kalafut, his dearest friends Ted and Linda Clemen, and many other nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will be private.
