Vivian A. Wood-Basler, 86, of Ewing died Monday in Capital Health System at Mercer. Born in Lawrence Township she was a resident of Ewing Township most of her life. She was a former audit account clerk with the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services. Vivian was a Past President and Life Member of the Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Past President of the Ewing Township Busy C Senior Citizens Club, and a Life Member of the Mercer County Ladies Auxiliary. Vivian was also a member of the West Trenton Presbyterian Church. Daughter of the late Ellis and Marie Gravatt Prickett, wife of the late William E. Wood, Sr., mother of the late Bruce Wood and Sharon Wood and grandmother of the late William Wood, III; she is survived by two sons, Robert Wood and William Wood Jr. and his wife Kathleen; a daughter-in-law, Lois Wood; a son-in-law, George Sereduk; a brother Raymond Prickett and his wife Emilia; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Chuck) Turner, Mary (Chris) Chinici, Amanda (Rick) Miller and Lauren and Bill Wood; four great-grand children, Mackenzie and Maegan Turner and Marisa and Kira Chinici; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Felix and Margaret Scirgova and G. Arthur and Linda Wood and her special dog Chloe. Vivianâ??s funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 Am at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with the Rev. James Pruner of the West Trenton Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Prospect Heights Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services at 10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville 08648, American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, 08691 or the Prospect Heights Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, 1660 Ninth St., Ewing, 08638.
