Eugene V. Nehl Obituary

Eugene V. Nehl, 74, of Lawrenceville, N.J. and Pine Hurst N.C., died Thursday at Capital Health System at Fuld.


Born in Iowa, and a former resident of North Brunswick, he had resided in Lawrenceville for five years.


He was a Korean War era Army veteran.


Gene was a retired supervisor with Home Depot in South Brunswick.


He was a member of the Turning Point Worship Center in Aberdeen, N.C.


Son of the late Charles and Rose Gilbert Nehl, father of the late Vincent Charles Nehl and husband of the late Angela Nehl, he is survived by his wife Julia Wilcox Smires, two daughters Catherine Nehl Jernstedt and her husband Edward, Michele DeLasso and her husband John and a son Robert E. Nehl and his wife Nancy. Also surviving are seven grandchildren Jessica Tisopelas and her husband Chris, John DeLasso Jr., Lisa and Vincent Jernstedt, Stephan, Chris, and Heather Nehl; two brothers Gilbert Nehl and his wife Wanita, Joseph Nehl and his wife Connie, three sisters Rita Doden, Gerri Williams and Isabelle Lahr and a sister-in-law Rose Nehl and his father-in-law Albert H. Wilcox.


Funeral services for Mr. Nehl will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Reverend Stoney Locklear, pastor of the Turning Point Worship Center in Aberdeen, N.C. officiating. Entombment will be in the Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.


Family and friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
