Helen J. Russo, 87, of Lawrenceville, died Saturday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.


Born in Trenton, she had resided in Lawrenceville for fifty years.


Helen retired as a supervisor after many years from the State of New Jersey Division of Unemployment.


She was a member of the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville.


Daughter of the late Anthony and Sophie Skulmowski Babecki, and wife of the late Carl Russo and sister of the late Leon, Matthew and Wesley Babecki, she is survived by a sister Jean DeAngelo and her husband Pat, two brothers-in-law Peter Russo and Joseph Russo and his wife Ann. Also surviving are a sister-in-law Mary Russo and many nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamilton.


Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM at the daily chapel at The Church of St. Ann.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Helen's name be made to The Church of St. Ann, Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
