Obituary of Leon B. Hunt

Leon B. Hunt Sr., 71, of Hamilton Township, died Saturday at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Riverside, N.J. Leon had resided in Hamilton for forty-four years. Mr. Hunt was a programmer analyst for Dow Jones and later with Eaton Corporation. He retired as a consultant with Ajilon Professional Staffing. Mr. Hunt trained as a computer programmer while on active duty with the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1960 and attended of Rider College studying accounting. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Ewing Township where he served as a trustee; leader in the Men's Ministry and was a small group leader. Son of the late Lee and Ella Grimes Hunt and beloved husband of the late Delilah Booker Hunt, he is survived by a son Leon B. Hunt Jr. and his fiance' Jill Roeller, and two grandchildren Andre and Tyler Hunt. Also surviving are a brother Cordell Wise and his companion Lois Enourato, two sisters Yvonne Long and Marie Washington and her husband Reverend Wilbur Washington, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Leon's life will be held on Friday at 7 PM at the Central Baptist Church, 2015 Pennington Road in Ewing Township. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the church. Burial will be private in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, N.J. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Leon's loving wife, Delilah, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ
