Frank V. C. Yates, 85, of Seminole, Florida died Wednesday at the Wrights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Seminole.

Born in Trenton, Frank was a resident of Lawrenceville for many years before moving to Florida in 1995. He retired after 25 years of service in 1986 as a contract administrator with R.C. A. in East Windsor. He then began working for Griffith Electric in Trenton until his retirement 1991.

Frank was a member of the Monday Night Blues Swing Band, the Quarter Century Wireless Association and the Metro Radio Club.

Son of the late Francis and Violet Van Cleef Yates and husband of the late Joan Murphy Yates; he is survived by his current wife Claire Carter Yates; his sons, James V. C. Yates and his wife Ann of Yardley, Pa; Thomas F. Yates and his wife Kathie of Trenton; his daughters, Mary Beth Chase and her husband Dr. Mark Chase of Montclair, NJ; Pixie Carbone and her husband James of New York, NY; and Sally Blair and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, MA; ten grandchildren, Melissa and Jamie Yates, Jessie Joan Chase, Matthew and Tommy Blair, Carter Chase, Andrew, Joanie and Emma Blair and Georgia Carbone.

His funeral will be held on Monday beginning at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
