Obituary of Cassie Vaccaro

Cassie Vaccaro, 11, of Lawrenceville passed away on Thursday at the Alfred I. Dupont Children�s Hospital after her long battle with cystic fibrosis. Born in Mount Holly, she was a Lawrenceville resident most of her life. Cassie was a good student and liked to ride horses and go fishing. She liked to dance and attended classes at Dance Stars in Lawrenceville. Cassie is survived by her parents, Richard and Pamela Shelmet Vaccaro, her sisters: Jillian and Faith Vaccaro, her grandparents: Walter and Patricia Shelmet Sr. and John and Robbie Vaccaro, her aunts: Patrice and Michael Hennessy Sr., Michelle and David Everman, and Susan and Richard Parker, her uncles: Walter and Jeri Shelmet Jr. and Wayne and Kim Vaccaro, many cousins, great aunts and great uncles, and her very best friend Casey Gladwell. Cassie will be missed by her friends, teachers, all the doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists and her two dogs, Hunter and Princess. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Friends may call on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM at the church. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Cassie�s name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Greater New Jersey Chapter, River Edge, NJ www.new-jersey@cff.org.
