Dolores McElroy, 77, of Lawrenceville died Thursday at home.

Born in Trenton, she was a Lawrenceville resident most of her life.

Mrs. McElroy was a registered nurse and graduated from McKinley Hospital School of Nursing in 1952.

Mrs. McElroy retired from the Lawrence Township school system having served over thirty years as the school nurse for Slackwood Elementary School.

She was a member of the Church of St. Ann and sang in the parish Adult and Resurrection Choirs. She was also a member of the NJEA, and lifetime member of the Lawrence Twp. First Aid Squad.

Daughter of the late Edward J. and Ann Smith Cleary, and wife of the late James F. McElroy, she is survived by her three sons; Michael McElroy and his companion Jennifer, Tim McElroy and his wife Denise, Edward McElroy and his wife Gail, her daughter, Anne Doroba and her fiance Edward Morrone, her grandchildren; Amanda and Brian Doroba, and Michael and John McElroy, step-grandchildren; Jennifer and Anthony Mahan and Joe Bondi Jr., and step great grandchildren; Sydney and Abigail Mahan. Also surviving is a brother, Edward Cleary and his fianc�© Marge Kopczynski, a sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and James Sealy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at The Church of St. Ann. 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery

Friends may call on Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
