Delilah J. Hunt, 66, of Hamilton Township, died peacefully Thursday April 16, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton where she entered the presence of the Lord with the knowledge that He was calling her home. Born in Danbury, CT., she had resided most of her life in Hamilton Township. Dee was a graduate of Trenton State College where she received her BSN and MSN. Dee was a Psychiatric Nursing Instructor at Mercer Medical Center, member of Central Baptist Church of Ewing, member of Concerned Black Nurses of South Jersey, Education Committee of American Cancer Society, Education Committee member of American Cancer Society, member of the Youth Advisory Council of the American Red Cross, member of the Mercer County School Nurses Association, member of the Advisory Council Hamilton Township Adult Education Association and member of the National Sorority Phi Delta Kappa, Inc Pi Chapter. Daughter of the late Louis and Grace Booker Gibbs, she is survived by her loving husband Leon B. Hunt Sr., her son Leon B. Hunt Jr., and two beloved grandsons Andre and Tyler Hunt. Dee was a friend to all, and the ""mother"" to many. A Celebration of Life Service for Dee will be held on Thursday at 7 PM at Central Baptist Church, 2015 Pennington Road in Ewing Township. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 PM at the church prior to the service.
