Michael Sweeney

Obituary of Michael R. Sweeney

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Michael R. Sweeney, 41, of Yardley, PA, left us on Saturday November 9, 2024, and was passed into the hands of God, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Michael had been a long-time resident of the Yardley area.

Mike’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his daughter Brianna (Bri). They could be found climbing trees, racing go-karts, snowboarding, bowling, boating, riding dirt bikes, fishing on LBI, swimming and having beach time, watching movies, walking their dog, attending Halloween haunted houses, amongst a lot of other fun activities. They just recently got back from a cruise to the Bahamas with his extended family.

Mike loved to go bowling and he bowled in a league on Tuesday nights. He always looked forward to hanging out with his bowling buddies and made life-long friends at the bowling lanes.

Mike was always a dedicated family man and would often be seen with his loved ones, laughing and enjoying life to the fullest. He always greeted everyone with his huge smile, making friends instantly. Mike would always lend a helping hand to anyone at any time with no questions asked and wanted nothing in return.

Sobriety was a big part of Mike’s life and made him the man we’ve all gotten to have known and loved. His Sponsor Dan meant the world to Mike and was a huge part of Mike’s life and success.

Mike was a proud member of the Steamfitters Union Local 420 and worked for the RAMM company in the HVAC-R division. His co-workers at RAMM quickly turned into his extended family through Mike’s infectious smile, his drive and determination, and his positive attitude while completing his apprenticeship program while going to school, working every day and taking his cancer treatments throughout his career.

Michael is survived by his loving parents Daniel Sweeney and Frances (Fran) Sweeney; his daughter Brianna (Bri); his two brothers: Daniel Sweeney and Jason Sweeney, his wife Lindsay, and his son Mick; his grandmother Louise Sweeney; grandfather Howard Boyer; uncle Patrick Sweeney and wife Donna; uncle Scott Sweeney; uncle Rick Boyer; aunt Kathy Cole and husband Rich; fiancée Jennifer Franck and many cousins, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mike’s daughter Brianna Sweeney, and mailed to her at: 46 Fairway Drive, Yardley, Pa. 19067.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family will give details in the upcoming days.
