Obituary of Barbara Baffuto

Barbara Baffuto, 76, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Village Point Rehabilitation in Monroe Township, NJ.

Barbara was born in Hamburg, Germany before moving to the USA at the age of 11. After a brief career as a baker, Barbara married Gabriel J. Baffuto and moved to Lawrenceville, NJ where she spent the majority of her life as a home maker. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining family and friends, spending time at her vacation home in Marco Island, FL, and helping to care for her many grandchildren. She was famous for her homemade meatballs, and the Christmas Eve parties that she hosted annually with her husband, Gabe.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel J. Baffuto; her son, Gabriel Baffuto; her parents, Alexander and Ilse Abramenko; and her brother-in-law, Bob Atanasovski; Barbara is survived by her four sons, David Baffuto and his wife, Margaret, Joseph Baffuto and his wife, Jessica, Mark Baffuto, and Peter Baffuto; her daughter, Michelle Baffuto and her husband, Mike Partyka; her grandchildren, Cameron, David, Amelia, Genna, Gabriel, Joseph, and Michael; her brother, Peter Abramenko; her sister, Heide Atanasovski; her sister-in-law, Josephine Sullivan and her partner Amy Pratico; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A prayer service will be held for Barbara on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, 830 Cranbury South River Road, Jamesburg, NJ. Attendees are asked to arrive at the mausoleum chapel no later than 11:15 A.M.

The visitation for Barbara will be held on Monday October 14, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville 08648.
