Obituary of Scott W. Markulec

Scott W. Markulec, 61, of Pennington, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Scott was the son of Walter and Joyce Markulec. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. 

Scott graduated from the College of New Jersey. He spent a distinguished career working 34 years for NJM Insurance Group, earning a reputation for his innovative problem-solving skills and dedication. He retired as an assistant vice president in 2022.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Joanne, and their three children, Jared (Kaity), Connor (Sarah), and Dylan. He is also survived by his brother Mark and his wife, Michele, sister Melissa and her husband Todd, two nieces, Stephanie and her husband Keelan and Gabriella, nephew Jack, Brother-in-Laws Gene and his wife Jeanne, and Dennis and his wife Jodee.

A passionate, incredible soccer player and avid sports fan, Scott found joy in playing, coaching, and watching all sports. Scott's kindness, generosity, and infectious sense of humor touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at The Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648, on September 14, 2024. Viewing 10:00 am/Mass 11:30 am. Please wear Eagles, Liverpool, 76ers, Rangers, Mets, or colorful attire.

In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking to donate to the National Brain Tumor Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
