The list of memories we created over 20 years sitting next to each other is endless , from meeting you the first day of work at 5am in November of 97 as a driver , to the last day of July 10th saying “ see you tomorrow Tommy boy “ I have a million great memories , and I wish for just 1 more , you started as a boss then turned a friend , then a brother and most importantly to me a 2nd dad
I love you -

Tom,
Thank you for being the "NMR Work Dad" many of us have relied on throughout our careers and for setting a remarkable standard of kindness, empathy, diligence, and professionalism, especially for those of us early in our careers. Your unwavering willingness to lend an ear or offer advice, no matter how busy you were, has been a cornerstone of our professional lives.
You have been a true pillar of the NMR family, always the go-to person when someone needed guidance or help. Whether it was navigating a challenging project, solving a complex problem, or simply getting through a rough day, you were the one we turned to. Your support and reassurance, especially during the uncertainty of the pandemic, have significantly impacted us all. For those of us who don't travel often, your presence in the office was a steady anchor, providing professional guidance and a sense of stability and comfort.
It has been difficult not to hear you shout, “Bye BJ, Bye Chris!” each evening as I have for the past 13 years. That simple, cheerful phrase always made the end of the day a little better and is a reminder of your positive influence on all of us. I deeply miss hearing that.
So, thank you for everything. Your legacy as a mentor, friend, and steadfast pillar of our NMR family will be cherished and remembered for years to come. Both Darla and I will miss you terribly.
Sincerely,
CB (and Darla)
P.S. Sorry for the poor-quality photo.

What a great man, I was so honored to have worked with Tom. He was the type of man who would give you his shirt off his back just to help you. I was lucky to have met him and Mike (the dynamic duo) while working for NMR as the first CDL truck driver. We hit it off right away, he was an honest and caring man. He loved his country and adored his family. I considered him a brother more than a boss, he made me feel part of the NMR family. I just can’t imagine NMR without him. He surely will be missed. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family and his work family. Tom will forever hold a special place in my heart. Love you bro!!!

Tom was probably the best Supervisor I ever had. He was more than that to me. I was going through a difficult time, personally, while working for him. He understood, offered counsel, never judged and was always willing to help however he could. During my 10 yrs working with Tom, he became more of a friend than a Supervisor. He will be truly missed.

Walking into his office space was always a complete pleasure. The greeting went like this, "How are you big T?" and he would always respond, "I'm well and you please"? That phrase has been resonating in my mind and rattling around my broken heart. Like everyone, I will miss him terribly.
My sincerest condolences to his entire family and network of loyal, loving friends.

I am so sorry for your loss and all of our loss of Tom. I was only lucky enough to get to work with him these past two years but he made my life so much easier showing me the way through all the processes that were new to me at NMR. He was a rock for our company and many of us in it. Tom was just always there when you needed him with a word of advice, a joke to make you smile or that one thing you couldn't find anywhere else. We all will miss him with you

Not only was Tom an integral part in the success of NMR's professional partnership with BlackRock, I personally had many engaging, early morning conversations with him about family, UConn, his travels and interests, but mostly about Max and Max's beloved predecessors. It was always a joy to see the love, loyalty and passion he had for all of his canine companions, past and present. I will miss those conversations, but hope that all the dogs Tom ever loved and who loved him back will be waiting at Heaven's gate to greet him with cold noses and tail wags.

Q: How would you describe Thomas to someone who had never met them?
A: Tom was the most athletic "Fat Kid" I've ever known. Once, on a 90 degree summer day he played tennis by himself. Not against a wall but on a full court, net and all. Tom hit the ball way up in the air and ran to the other side of the court. After one bounce he hit the ball again, high into the air and ran to the other side of the court. This went on, back and forth, back and forth until he collapsed.
He always made me laugh be it his stupidity or just his need to entertain. Like the time he re-iced a birthday cake using the icing in his mouth. Or the time he pressed a suction cup on his bald head and could not get it off; he gave himself a 3 inch circular hickey that lasted days.
May your memory be a blessing.

My sincere condolences for the loss of Tom.
He was such a gentleman, with a great sense of humor. I only have good memories of him during the few times spent in his company, in your home, or at NMR.
I hope you find strength in your own memories during this difficult time.
