Obituary of Debra M. Williams

Debra M. Williams, a life-long resident of Lawrenceville, passed away at 71 on Saturday June 22, 2024 at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ. Debbie was born in Trenton, New Jersey on August 28, 1952 and graduated from Lawrenceville High School where she would meet her future husband, Rich. She then went on to pursue cosmetology studies in NYC and later opened Debbie’s Coiffures, which served the local community for over 15 years.

Debbie loved to explore whether it was on foot or bike, traveling to her favorite locations Williamsburg, Rockport, Spring Lake beach, and Martha’s Vineyard. No one would see her without her freshly curled hair, her painted nails, her signature flip flops and the expression of her favorite color, pink. Her attention to detail extended to her home whether it be outside configuring flower arrangements or decorating the inside to include memories from her recent trips. Above all else, Debbie cherished these moments alongside her family.

Daughter of the late Harry and Julia Phillips, sister of the late Karen Graham, she is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard L. Williams, her son, Brooke, her daughter-in-law, Tracey, and her grandchildren, Emma and Louis. She is also survived by her brother, Harry R. Phillips, his wife Fran, her niece and nephew, Susie and Jimmy, and their children, Zach, Cody, and Ryan.

Interment will be held at The Ewing Church Cemetery located at 100 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ 08628.

The visitation for Debbie will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 from 9-11 AM  at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
