Obituary of Charles J. "Bubba" Schlosser, III

Charles J. “Bubba” Schlosser, III, 65, of Yardley, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife and close friends. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a long time resident of the Morrisville and Yardley area. Bubba was a veteran of the United States Navy and was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He started a lifetime of dedication in Bucks County starting in the early 1970’s. In 1974, Bubba joined the Capital View Fire Company in Morrisville where he served as the past President and Deputy Chief. His volunteer career with Capital View Fire Company spanned over 50 years with 25 of those years being consecutive. Bubba was instrumental with the merger of the Capital View Fire Company with the Morrisville Fire Company. Bubba continued his dedication to serving the community by joining the Yardley- Makefield Fire Company in March of 1996. Bubba raised through the command ranks and was assigned the assistant Chief’s position from 2004-2006. In the year 2007 Bubba was assigned Deputy Chief of the Fire Company until his retirement from the position in 2013. Just a few months prior to Bubba’s passing he was accepted into being a life member of the Yardley- Makefield Fire Company. If Bubba was not responding to an emergency, you may find him working on the fire company’s beloved antique 1937 Studebaker Hale Pumper. His father in law Gene Cadwallader was instrumental in having the truck restored to its original condition to be proudly displayed by antique committee members at various shows throughout the country. Bubba is predeceased by his parents Charles J. Schlosser, Jr and Marian Smith; and a brother Daniel Schlosser. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 dedicated years, Deborah; brothers Mark Schlosser, Sr. and his wife Joanne, Michael Schlosser and his wife Lisa; sister Chris Luna; two brothers-in-law Gene R. Cadwallader Jr., Scott C. Cadwallader and his wife Cheryl. Bubba will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 6th at 10:30 AM at the Yardley- Makefield Fire Company (Station 80) located at 652 Stony Hill Road, Yardley , PA 19067. Burial will be private. Visitation for Bubba will be held on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 from 5-8 PM and again on Monday May 6th, 2024 from 9-10:30 AM at the Yardley- Makefield Fire Company (Station 80) located at 652 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA 19067. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Yardley- Makefield Fire Company for the benefit of the Antique Committee located at 652 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley, PA 19067 and to EASEL Animal Rescue League, Shelter, & Pet Adoption located 4 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, NJ 08628
