Serafino Martorana Obituary

Serafino Martorana, 84, of Ewing, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton.


Born in Castelermini Agigento Sicily, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1960. He was formerly employed with Trenton Pipe Nipple as a professional machinist. In 1988 he became the Co-Owner of Brothers Deli and retired in 2010 after 22 years of dedicated service. Serafino was a longtime parishioner at Incarnation-St. James Parish. Some of his hobbies included making wine, hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family on Sunday for family dinners, and was never without his canine companion Romeo.


Predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Vincenzina Antinoro Martorana, and his siblings, Vincenzo, Carmelo, Antonino, Giuseppe, Francesco, Giuseppe Giovanni, Vincenza Martorana, Gaetano, and Lina Palmieri, he is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Angelina LoRe Martorana; his daughters, Gina Martorana, and Nancy Dempsey her husband John; his grandchildren, Justin, Daniel, Lauren and Adrianna; his sisters-in-law’s Teresa LoRe and Fortunata Martorana; her children Vincenzo Martorana and Teresa Kelly; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada, Belgium, Argentina, and Sicily.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00AM at Incarnation-St. James Parish, 29 East Paul Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.


Entombment will be held at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton, NJ.


The visitation for Serafino will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to San Calogero Society c/o Incarnations-St. James Parish, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
