News of Art's passing was met with profound sadness and silence. His thoughtful nature and wisdom an echo of the many years we knew him, two decades spent in cherished connection. Art was a caring father to his beloved children, our companions at Chinese school, and a masterful Wing Chun sifu who shaped our children with discipline, perseverance, hard work, practice and respect. His impact lives on in them. To this great family he built year after year, may you find comfort in his memory and peace in his rest.

I remember Gene as a youth, full of mischief and laughter. The cute baby of the family who always made his presence known. So many hours we all spent reading comics together at the family laundry and hotel. I thought of him as younger brother for me as well.
