Frank Dardzinski, 85 passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family in Harbeson, Delaware. Mr. Dardzinski was born July 7,1938 in Rakowo-Nowe, Poland, the son of the late Franek Dardzinski and Jozefa Sliwka. He was the brother of the late Marian Dardzinski and Bogdan Dardzinski. He came to the United States in 1964 and settled in Trenton, NJ and worked for Transamerica Delaval. In 1977 he and his wife, Sophie, purchased a business, "Don’s Liquor Store” on Brunswick Ave in Lawrenceville, NJ. He remained in the business until his retirement in 1996. In 2006 he and Sophie retired to Harbeson, DE. Frank was an avid fisherman, fishing for salmon in upstate New York and Alaska, and for flounder and sea bass at the NJ shore and off the beaches of Lewes, DE. He was an animal lover and was devoted to many dogs and cats throughout his lifetime. Frank very much enjoyed gardening with his wife and rewarding family, friends and neighbors with their home-grown cucumbers and tomatoes. He always had a smile in his eye and enjoyed amusing those around him with any one of his famous one liner’s, like “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. Mr. Dardzinski was a member of St. Hedwig's Church in Trenton, NJ and held membership and many officer positions in local Polish organizations. Among them are the Polish Veteran's Post 81; Polish American Congress-Trenton Chapter, and the Trenton Polish-American Democratic Club. In1993, he was named "Man of the Year" by the Trenton Polish-American Democratic Club and by the Trenton Polish Business and Professional Men's Club. Fun fact – he was a passenger on the first LOT Polish Airline flight to the United States from Warsaw to NY/JFK in 1973. Frank had a genuine interest in the local Polish community and freely lent a "helping hand" to anyone in need.
