Obituary of Michael A. Rostas

Michael A. Rostas 54 of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday January 8, 2024, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville, NJ and a graduate of Lawrence High School. Michael was employed as a Local 694 union painter for Amato Painting in Lawrenceville for many years. He was also a member of American Legion Post 414. Michael took great pride in gardening and his indoor plants that grew several feet high. He was passionate about cooking and creating new recipes. He also enjoyed music and concerts. He was an avid NY Giants fan, Philadelphia Flyers fan and adored his three cats. Michael also enjoyed travelling, especially to the Caribbean Islands. He lit up a room and could make everyone laugh. He was known for his humor, kindness and generosity, and will be sadly missed. Son of the late Andrew and Bertha Rostas, he is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Renea Rostas, his mother-in-law Carol Ferlise, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lisa and Frank Oliveti, his nieces Autumn, Alexa and Mia, his godson and great nephew Landon, his sister Suzanne Nyktas and niece Alexa and Nephew Louie, several aunts, cousins and many friends and his three beloved cats, Simba, Rowen and Lily. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell. The visitation for Michael will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 4-6PM and again on Monday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
