Arlene M. Filson, 90, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was a long-time resident of Mercerville before moving to Lawrenceville. Arlene retired from Wells Fargo Bank, where she was a bank teller for many years. She was a Slackwood Presbyterian Church lifetime member and served as a deacon and an elder. Arlene was also a life member of the Slackwood, Mercerville, and Mercer County Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliaries and a Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Auxiliary charter member. Daughter of the late Alvin and Ida Mason and sister of the late Robert Mason, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brad and Sharon Filson; her daughter and son-in-law Karla and Jeff Eblen; her grandchildren Madison, James, Matthew and his wife, Ana. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Stebbins and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Arlene’s friends and caregivers at Lawrence Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their kindness and care. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, at Slackwood Presbyterian Church, 2020 Brunswick Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Slackwood Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 2020 Brunswick Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
