Scott R. Hawkinson Obituary

Scott R. Hawkinson, 62, of Ewing, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell.


Born in Green Bay, WI, Scott was a longtime area resident. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where he earned his Undergraduate Degree, and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he earned his master’s degree in music composition. Scott was employed with ETS, where he was an Assessment Specialist III. He was a board member of the Somerset Symphony Orchestra, serving as Vice President and Audio Archivist. Scott also played French Horn in the orchestra in the past. In addition, Scott managed his own recording company, Double V Digital Recordings. Scott was an avid golfer, enjoyed bike riding, traveling, trips to the mountains, and being near any body of water. His sense of humor, wit, and intelligence will be dearly missed.


Son of the late Raymond and Ione Hawkinson; he is survived by his partner of 17 years, Helen Lambert; his sister and brother-in-law Cynthia Hawkinson McEahern and Mark McEahern; and his niece Caitlyn Rae McEahern. His absence will also be felt by many friends, neighbors, and co-workers.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:00AM Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.


Inurnment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.


The visitation for Scott will be held on Thursday morning from 9-11AM at the funeral home.
