William Becker Bowers, 78, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 after a brief illness, at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Battle Creek, MI, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for 48 years. Bill is a Vietnam Veteran, having proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970. He is a retiree of ETS, where he held many senior roles for over 30 years. Bill graduated from the Hill School, Dartmouth College and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Bill had an insatiable quest for knowledge, enjoyed listening to classical music and loved to travel. Son of the late William B. and Geta Bowers; he is survived by his wife Marilyn of 50 years; his beloved daughters Devon and Erin; his grandchildren Reina and Samantha; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Cecilia Bowers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00AM at The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main Street, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Attendees are asked to arrive to the church no later than 10:45AM. There will be no visitation and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mercer Street Friends and Churches for Middle East Peace.
