Helen Marie Dolton, 92, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Meadows at Lawrence.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Helen Marie was a resident of Ewing Twp, until recently moving to Lawrenceville. She graduated from Georgetown University's School of Nursing in 1953 and obtained her Master’s in Nursing from St. John's University. Helen Marie began her nursing career at St. Francis Medical Center as an obstetrical registered nurse and soon became a nursing instructor for the hospital’s nursing school. She was instrumental in starting the associate degree nursing program at Mercer County Community College in 1967 and later served as the Dean for the Division of Science and Allied Health until her retirement in 1992. A steadfast supporter of nursing, she served on the New Jersey State Board of Nursing and was active in many nursing organizations. Helen Marie was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She was a wonderful mother to her miniature poodle, Megan, who was the love of her life.

Daughter of the late William and Marie Dolton; she is survived by her cousins Donna M. Penn and her family, and Kathleen Dolton and her family as well as many other cousins and good friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Road, West Trenton, NJ 08628.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

A visitation for Helen Marie will be held on Thursday morning from 10-10:30 AM at the church.
