Margaret E. Zorn, 91, of Cedar Glen Lakes, Whiting, NJ, formerly of Lawrence Township, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Phillipsburg she was a resident of Lawrence Township for many years before retiring to Whiting 35 years ago. Margaret was employed with the S. P. Dunham Department Store for over 20 years before retiring in 1979.
Margaret enjoyed bowling, bingo and loved playing cards with her children and grandchildren during family visits and vacations. She and her late husband also were members of the Cedar Glen Lakes Security Team for several years.
Wife of the late Theodore J. Zorn, great-grandmother of the late Sarah Merritt and mother-in-law of the late Michael Simonelli; Margaret is survived by two daughters, Dorothea Simonelli of Bordentown and Margaret Kusek and her husband Martin of Hamilton Township; a son, Theodore Zorn and his wife Deborah of Ormond Beach, Fl; her sister, Gladys Walter of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Jr. and Linda Simonelli, Linda and Marc Peloquin, Debra and Wes Merritt, Jeffrey and Danielle Kusek, Keith and Denise Zorn and Alicia and Alex Bassey; eleven great-grandchildren, Michael R and Ashley Simonelli, Meghan, Zachary and Hannah Merritt, Grace and Elsa Kusek, Alexander and Isabella Bassey, Joseph D. Peloquin and Autumn Zorn, a niece and several nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 10 AM until time of Mass in the Daily Chapel at the Church of St. Ann.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
