Gary Joseph Sapienza, 57, died Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Born in Trenton, and a former resident of Tampa, he resided in Fort Lauderdale Florida for the past 19 years.

Gary was a self employed jeweler.

Son of the late Frank Sapienza and Theresa DiStefano Leski, and brother of the late Frank Sapienza, and Jeannie Breece, he is survived by a daughter Brittney D. Sapienza, three sisters; Debra Costa and her husband Lou, Theresa Pragliola and her husband Tony, and Santina Tedeschi, three brothers; Paul Sapienza, John Leski, and Michael Leski and his fiance, Kindra Miller, and step father Ivan Leski. Also surviving are aunts and uncles; Lou DiStefano and his wife Ada, Marie DiStefano Marrazzo and her husband Antimo, and Susan DiStefano Trani and her husband Nick, nieces; Alyxandra Sapienza and Madison Leski, and many cousins and friends; especially Stephen, Jan, Jason, and our girl Donna.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 PM at the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville.

Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton.

Gary, your candle always burned so bright, but now we'll look to heaven to see your shining star.
