Dear Sal and Family,
Deepest sympathy on your loss. Miss Leoniec was my freshmen year teacher. I will never forget the first literature we
Learned with the late Matt Erdie in my class. The poem Beowulf, " I will not grapple with Grendel, " was a challenge.
She met Dad at PTA, don't know what she did say. She called him at Golden Goose in Hamilton, we ran around the dining room table and never would I misbehave in her class again. Excellent teacher, she chose me for student teacher passed, I had wanted to do a match game trivia, but instead did reading a literature piece. She gave us a class project on the Wasichu Indians, and with Colleen Rhodes and Lisa Moshera did a tape with me singing, passed that too. Notre Dame High School, our Alma mater was fortunate to have her, and I for one will never forget her. You never forget teachers who made a impression and molded you, maybe that is why I liked Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune so much watching it with my late parents. May she rest in peace.
Love,
Pete Lieggi and Family
