Nina Rizzo Falzone, 91, of Lawrenceville died Friday at home.

Born and raised in Pittston, PA she was previously a resident of Trenton, Princeton and Whiting before moving to Lawrenceville 20 years ago.

In 1977 Nina retired with over 15 years of service with St. Francis Medical Center where she was employed as a master seamstress. She was also an accomplished seamstress with a specialty shop in Princeton.

She and her late husband Anthony owned a restaurant for a short while and she also cooked specialty foods for Barretts restaurant. Nina loved to cook and bake for her family and enjoyed sewing all of her life.

She was a member and supporter of the Mt. Carmel Guild.

Daughter of the late Salvatore and Gaetana Sperazza Rizzo, wife of the late Anthony L. Falzone, mother of the late Josephine A. Hannawacker and Anthony M. Falzone and sister of the late, Frank, James, Joseph, Santo and Victor Rizzo; she is survived by her 3 daughters; Gaetana Hoffman and her husband Francis of Forks Twp., PA; Loraine Merkle and her husband Robert of Lawrenceville and Salvatrice Angelico and her husband Anthony of Hamilton; a brother, John Rizzo of W. Pittston, PA; her 16 grandchildren, Francis, Eric, Anthony, Lawrence, Robert, Daniel, Christopher, Thomas, Jonathon, Santo, Rebecca, Nina, Mark, Andria, Jonathan, and Timothy, and many great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Entombment will follow in St. Maryâ??s Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.
