Bruce A. ""Pop Pop Bruce"" MacDonald Obituary

Bruce A. MacDonald, 84, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Cape May Regional Medical Center, Cape May Courthouse, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Bruce was affectionately known as “Pop Pop Bruce” by many. He was a resident of Lawrenceville his entire life. Bruce proudly served his country with the United States Army. He retired from General Motors after 32 years, where he was a traffic manager. Bruce was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoyed playing golf, watching the weather, and never missed one of his grandkids’ games or dance recitals. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He had an infectious smile. To know him was to love him. One of his most memorable moments was when he watched the Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2018. He was always quick to give anyone the most up to date weather report. When he wasn't home in Lawrenceville, he spent his spare time in his happy place at Ocean View Resort with his wife, family, and extended "framily".

Son of the late Archibald Conn and Eva MacDonald and brother of Sandra Foster. He is survived by his loving wife Emily MacDonald of 62 years; three daughters and two sons-in-law Beth MacDonald (Tony Fry), Karen and Gary Wasko, and Shelley and Patrick Holt; his beloved grandchildren Danielle and husband James Gorski Jr., Kelsey Holt, Taylor Holt, Brandon Fry, and Casey Fry; two great-grandsons Brayden and Gavin Gorski; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert Foster, LeRoy and Judith Willever, and Janet and Lee Arp plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The visitation for Bruce will be held on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 from 2-5 pm. Additional calling hours will be from 11 am to 12 pm with funeral services following on Monday, August 14th, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
