Byron R. Stauffer, 78, of Ewing Township, died Sunday at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Stauffer was a graduate of Rutgers University class of 1953.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War having served off the coast of Korea on the island of Tsushima. Mr. Stauffer was discharged with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
He retired in 1989 from the State of New Jersey Psychiatric Hospital after twenty five years of service.
Mr. Stauffer was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing Township.
Son of the late Ovid and Alice Nichols Stauffer, he is survived by his sister Anita F. Stauffer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1985 Pennington Road in Ewing Township with Reverend Daniel Casselberry, Pastor, officiating.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 to 11AM at the church. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery.
