Bob was my professor at Rutgers for a criminal justice class. He took a liking to me as a football player, but also because I went to school with his police partner's son (Kostival). Bob was a great professor due to his prior job experience and passion for the subject. I stayed in touch with him for a long time and he even let me guest lecture his class because I became a police officer and received my doctorate just like him. He was a great role model and person. He will be missed by anyone who ever got to speak to him, even if it was only for a minutes.

Bob & I knew each other when we were kids. Our big brothers hung around together so our paths crossed often in the neighborhood & in school. He was the greatest guy. Always upbeat & making others feel good. So wonderful that he accomplished so much but so sad that his time on this Earth was so short. My deepest condolences to all his family. A little light has gone out of this World with his passing.

I grew up with Bob in the Top Road section of Trenton. Bob and I went to both Saint Hedwig's Grammar School and Notre Dame High School. It was a great place to live because of people like Bob and his family. Many great memories from the old neighborhood and from Notre Dame. Will always remember the very many NDEAG social events as well as the 10 Day Notre Dame Easter Vacation Trip to Germany and Switzerland in the Spring of 1974. My Mom and Dad lived on Ohio Avenue and could always count on a visit from Bob when patrolling. He was Trenton's finest. I would often see Bob at the Hamilton Train Station when I was commuting to NYC. It was always great to see him and talk about the old days. Rest in peace my friend.

Professor Szejner was my professor at Rutgers. He always entered the class with a smile and everyone knew that he really cared about what he taught us every class. Not only was he caring, but he was one of the best professors I have had and I learned so much from him about Criminal Justice. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, he truly was a great person.

My friend for over 40 years. We always called each other by our nicknames. When he received his doctorate he said please don't call me Doctor Nutsy. He had the energy and enthusiasm of any 2 cops combined. His trifecta week came when he received his masters from St Joe's, was promoted to lieutenant at TPD,and graduated from Northwestern Staff and Command. He will be missed. The Best. God bless him and his family.

Dear Janet and Family,
I have known Bob, since 1972, when he hung with Paul, like a brother, my second brother of NDHS and NDEAG, when Ellie
Passed I cried to him, now my friend is gone, as cancer took Ellie, it's taken a part of myself away. Many tall stories I could tell,
But it's in my memory, to keep, and now his suffering is over, the healing begins, my brother's friend is in Heaven.
Stay safe my friend, and say hello to Mom and Dad, you were another son to them.
Love always,
Peter

Dear Janet (and family),
I have known Bob since St. Hedwig's Grammar School, then Notre Dame HS and beyond. We were also connected through my cousin (Fran Przechacki.) Bob was a stand-up gentleman. He truly cared about his friends and family. I know he adored you because he said so on so many occasions. He was kind, caring, true, loyal, smart, engaging ... with a heart bigger and brighter than his smile (if that could be.) We are all better for knowing him. He made an impact on many. Sending love and prayers to you during this very sad time.
With heartfelt condolences,
Sharon Rojek Dileo

Bob was a part of my “coffee clutch” at Dunkin Donuts for 20 years. He always had a smile on his face and shared stories of Sister Honorata with me as many other amazing stories through the years.. I know he adored his daughters and talked about roller coasters during the coffee time.. he was a genuine great man..
