Obituary of Janice V. Camastra
Please share a memory of Janice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Janice V. Camastra, 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in the presence of her loving family.
Janice was born on June 18, 1940, to Elizabeth and Victor Gusciora and both of whom predeceased Janice. Janice grew up in Clifton, NJ and attended Clifton High School. In 1957 Janice met the love of her life, Ted through mutual friends following his return from military service. Soon thereafter they would marry in 1958 at St. John Kanty’s R.C. Church. Janice and Ted settled in Lawrenceville, NJ where they established their home base for nearly 60 years. Together, Janice and Ted have two children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of whom Janice loved dearly and remained ever-present in their lives. Janice was widely known for her generous spirit, and nothing made her happier than spending time with family and making sure that no one ever left her home hungry. Selflessness was Janice’s defining characteristic; she always made sure that her loved ones’ needs and wants took precedence and she had an affinity for making people feel immensely special and loved.
Janice was a dedicated employee and retiree of ETS where she was employed in Customer Service for many years. Following her retirement, Janice dedicated her life to traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending as many of their hockey, football and soccer games as humanly possible. Suffice to say, Janice had a profound impact on her entire family and her legacy will live on for generations to come.
Janice was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her husband Theodore (“Ted”) Camastra of 65 years; her children Ted (Coleen Camastra) and Joyce (Alex Busse), her grandchildren Alex (Alex Michelle), Ted (Katrina), Scott (Shelby) and Michael (Emily); her great grandchildren James, Ben, Cameron and Enzo; and her brother Richard (Ilse). Janice was also predeceased by her loving daughter-in-law Julie Camastra.
