Obituary of Rudolf Mierzwa

Rudolf Mierzwa, 85 , of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton with his beloved family by his side. Born in Pysznica, Poland, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 30 years. He is a retiree of Bumar Harvester, where he was employed as a mechanic for many years. Rudolf was a parishioner at St. Hedwig Church. Some of his hobbies included crossword puzzles, taking care of his pigeons, reading, playing chess, working on cars and he enjoyed watching tennis, soccer, and hockey. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Fix it” to his family and friends. Son of the late Piotr and Aniela Mierzwa, father of the late Piotr Mierzwa; he is survived by his wife Barbara Mierzwa; his children and their spouses Danuta and Janusz Kowalczyk, Lidia and Michael Belardo, Edyta and Mariusz Jastrzebski, Zofia and Andrzej Koza, Bozena Orlowska, Dariusz and Grazyna Dybka and Zuzanna and Gregory Koza; his daughter-in-law Danuta Mierzwa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother Wladyslaw Zdyrski. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. Interment will be held at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. The visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
