Obituary of Clarice Cifelli

Clarice Cifelli, 88, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Born in Pettoranello, Italy, she was a former resident of Montreal, Canada, before moving to Lawrenceville 50 years ago. Clarice was a seamstress for Aberdeen Sportswear, where she worked alongside designers making coats and jacket prototypes prior to their production, retiring in 1994. Clarice was a longtime parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. She loved making clothing and crocheting for her family and friends. Clarice was also an avid cook, always making delicious meals, and homemade sauce for her family with vegetables grown in her and her husband’s garden. Daughter of the late Sebastiano and Elpidia (Paolino) Tamasi, sister of the late Ersilia Nini, and Frank Tamasi, sister-in-law of the late Lillian Tamasi, Giuseppe Nini and Felice Toto, mother-in-law of the late Raymond Place; she is survived by her husband Antonino Cifelli of 66 years, her children and their spouses Pia and Lowery Burgess, Robert and Nancy Cifelli, and Rita Place; her grandchildren Christopher Cifelli, Kevin Cifelli and Reanna Place, her sister, Esterina Toto and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lidio and Vincenza Cifelli and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will be held at Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing Twp. The viewing for Clarice will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00AM in the Chapel at The Church of St. Ann.
