James Anthony Martin, 36, of Lawrenceville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 13, 2022 at his home. Born in Trenton, NJ he was a lifelong resident of Mercer County. James attended Lawrence High School, and graduated class of 2005. James loved animals, spending time outdoors, going to concerts and he had a big interest in astrology. He was also a very talented artist, with his own unique style. James enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and he had a huge and giving heart. James’ love for helping others reflected his work life as well, he worked as a counselor for the Recovery Centers of America helping individuals recover from addiction. Son of the late Wendy Lee Martin (Schultz), James is predeceased by his paternal grandparents James and Joan Martin. James is survived by his loving father Curtis James Martin; three sisters Crystal Lee, Danielle May, and Victoria Claire Martin; a brother Kyle James Martin; Grandparents Doris and James Matlack; and will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation for James will be held on Thursday October 27, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
