Obituary of Alice S. Laird

Alice S. Laird, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Fellowship Senior Living, Basking Ridge, NJ. Born in Bondsville, MA, she was a longtime resident of Ewing Twp. Alice was formerly employed as a secretary with St. Hedwig School, and later retired as a secretary with New Jersey Manufacturers. She was a parishioner at St. Hedwig Church and The Church of St. Ann. Alice was an active PTA member, a former member of the Starcraft Camper Club, and enjoyed bowling. Daughter of the late Walter and Mary Pietras, wife of the late Edward Laird Sr.; she is survived by her loving children, son Edward and dear friend April, daughter Terri and son-in-law John, granddaughter Alyssa, brother and wife Walter and Phyllis, brother-in-law and wife Ray and Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Visiting hours will be Sunday afternoon from 4-6PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 and on Monday morning from 10-11AM in the daily chapel at the church.
