Dr. Ajaya Katta, age 62, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, with her family by her side.

Born in India, Ajaya graduated as a Gold Medalist Post Doctorate in Signal Processing from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She treasured spending time with her family and friends. She had a vivacious personality and always made those around her laugh. She deeply revered her late father with whom she shared a vigor for card games like rummy and poker. It suited her curious and playful mind.

Ajaya had a big circle of friends with whom she cherished and enjoyed many kitty parties. She also doted on flowers and plants and nurtured them through all seasons of the year. Ajaya tremendously enjoyed her work at New Jersey State’s Education Department as the Data Manager. She also served on the board of the Telangana Development Forum (TDF USA), helping grow the Telugu community and culture in the USA. She approached all her endeavors with humility, hard work, and dedication and inspired these values in others.

Ajaya is survived by her husband, two children, and grandson. She loved and touched deeply many more lives and hearts.

Funeral services for Ajaya will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9:00-11:00AM at Ewing Crematory Chapel, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ 08628.

The visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00-8:00PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
