Assunta Nini, 83, of Lawrenceville died peacefully on Thursday August 4, 2022 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell. Born in Pettoranello di Molise, Italy she has been a resident of Lawrenceville for more than 50 years. Daughter of the late Nicola and Enrichetta Tamasi Pirone and sister of the late Lidia Pirone, Domenico Pirone, Rosina Lubrano and Francesco Pirone she is survived by her husband of 61 years Antonio Nini; her son, Umberto “Bert” Nini and his wife Rita; her grandchildren, Anthony Nini and his wife Jaclyn, and Amanda Christensen and her husband Tony; her great-grandchildren Theo Everett Nini and Flora Walsh Christensen, many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Enrica Scozzari-Pirone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Assunta on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Entombment will follow in St, Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton. Visitation for relatives and friends will be from 9 AM until time of mass in the daily chapel at the church. Memorial contributions to honor Assunta may be made to the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville, NJ.
