Vincent J. Maida, 89, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 24, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Ewing Twp., before moving to Lawrenceville 23 years ago. Vincent was a Veteran of the US Army. He is a retiree of the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, where he was an accountant for many years. Vincent was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Good Council in West Trenton, NJ. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia 76er’s fan. His favorite pastime was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Some of his hobbies included traveling with his wife to Europe and trips to Lancaster, PA. Son of the late James and Virginia Maida, brother of the late Nicholas Maida, husband of the late Sara Ann Maida; he is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law John and Kelly Maida, Robert Maida, William Maida and Valerie Gielty; three grandchildren Katherine Temmer, Elliott Rose Gielty and Avery Jane Gielty; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing for Vincent will be held on Thursday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Kindred Hospice 242 Old New Brunswick Rd 140, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
