Obituary of Helena Dziegielewska

Helena Dziegielewska, 95, of Lawrenceville, NJ, entered into God’s care Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Capital Health Medical Center at Hopewell with her loving family by her side. Born in Brzeznio, Poland, Helena came to the U.S. in 1988 and was a Trenton and Lawrenceville resident since that time. Helena was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Trenton. Helena loved being with her family and was a wonderful and devout wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved caring for all her grandchildren and will be deeply missed. Daughter of the late Ignacy Ostaszewski and Marianna Olszewska Ostaszewska; mother of the late Barbara Dziegielewska, and sister of the late Jan Ostaszewski, Henryk Ostaszewski, Marianna Ostaszewska Bogdan, Ignacy Ostaszewski, Zofia Ostaszewska Baginska, and Mieczyslaw Ostaszewski. Helena was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stefan. She is survived by her two daughters and two sons-in-law, Alicja and Boleslaw Brzoska and Lucyna Ogieglo and Adam Dmochowski; four sons and four daughters-in-law, Zbigniew and Alzbeta Dziegielewski; Zenon and Jane Dziegielewski; Jan and Bogumila Dziegielewski and Marek and Anna Dziegielewski; six granddaughters and seven grandsons; eight great-granddaughters and eight great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson as well as nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Poland. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 12:00PM in St. Hedwig's Church with Rev. Dr. Jacek W. Labinski presiding. Burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Ewing Township. The viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
